South Carolina’s Will Muschamp: If you don’t work out in our camp, I’m not signing you

South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp joined the show Tuesday to talk spring practice, recruiting, finding linebackers and more.

One of the interesting points the second-year Gamecock coach made was about the players he signs.

“Twenty-two of our 24 signees worked out in our camps,” Muschamp said. “If you don’t work out in our camp, I’m not going to sign you.”

Muschamp also said he doesn’t care about recruiting rankings.

“I couldn’t care less,” he said. “I’ve never recruited a guy based on a star rating, because I’ve had a bunch of guys who didn’t have many stars.”
